Placements24 is seeking a Senior Exploration Geochemist to join our client’s Kimberley-based team. You will design geochemical surveys, interpret complex datasets, and help identify drill targets for base and precious metals.

The role requires a strong track record in mineral exploration, advanced geochemical software, and willingness to travel to remote sites; collaboration across geology and geophysics teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geochemistry, Geology, or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 7 years in mineral exploration with geochemistry specialization.
• Proven track record applying geochemical techniques to base/precious metal discoveries.
• Proficiency in geochemical data analysis software ioGAS, AMC, or R.
• Willingness to travel to remote exploration sites.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage geochemical exploration programs (soil, stream sediment, rock chip).
• Oversee collection, preparation, and analysis of geochemical samples with QA/QC.
• Analyze and interpret large geochemical datasets using statistical and multivariate methods.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Exploration Geochemist to join their dynamic exploration team based in Kimberley . This role is instrumental in identifying and advancing new base metal and precious metal exploration targets. You will be responsible for designing and implementing geochemical surveys, analyzing complex datasets, and interpreting results to guide exploration efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with geologists and geophysicists to maximize the discovery potential of our concessions.
