Placements24 is seeking an Exploration Geochemist to contribute to mineral exploration programs around Welkom. The role focuses on applying geochemical techniques to identify mineral deposits. You will design soil, rock, and stream sediment sampling programs and analyze data to guide exploration efforts.

The ideal candidate has MSc or PhD in Geochemistry or related Earth Science discipline and at least 6 years of experience with strong interpretive and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Geochemistry, Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral exploration geochemistry.
• Proven ability to interpret complex geochemical datasets and develop exploration models.
• Experience with analytical techniques and proficiency in statistical analysis software.
• Knowledge of deposit types and their geochemical signatures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting.

About the Role
