Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, seeks an organized Event Planning and Coordination Manager to lead our events division. You will orchestrate corporate functions, conferences, social gatherings and weddings from concept to delivery.

You will manage budgets, vendor negotiations, timelines and on-site execution, ensuring seamless client communications and post-event evaluation. Strong negotiation, communication, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in event planning and management with a proven portfolio.
• Strong budgeting, vendor negotiations, and cost control skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and relocate to Richards Bay if needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute events per client specs and standards.
• Develop budgets and manage expenses for profitability.
• Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Create timelines, run sheets, and detailed operational plans.
