The role requires 3+ years in event or catering coordination, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strict health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in event management or catering coordination, senior level preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex events and multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong customer service and client relationship abilities.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage operations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software.
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all catering aspects for events: staffing, menus, and venue liaison.
• Manage client communications, providing expert advice and ensuring vision is realized.
• Oversee setup/breakdown of catering services, ensuring timely completion.
• Supervise catering staff with clear direction and service quality.
• Conduct site visits and pre-event planning meetings with clients and venues.
