Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Software Engineer to join a fully remote, Centurion-based team. You will develop embedded software for real-time automotive applications, collaborating with hardware engineers and system architects.

The role covers design, implementation, testing and deployment across complex systems to enhance vehicle performance and safety. A strong background in C/C++, RTOS, and automotive protocols is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in automotive.
• Strong C/C++ skills and RTOS experience.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet automotive protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement embedded software for automotive applications and real-time systems.
• Write clean, efficient code in C, C++, or Python and collaborate with hardware teams.
• Develop unit, integration and system tests to ensure software quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues across platforms and configurations.
• Improve software development processes and methodologies.
