Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Software Developer with expert C/C++ and RTOS experience to design, implement, and verify embedded software for automotive ECUs. The role emphasizes safety, MISRA considerations, and collaboration across globally distributed teams.

You will work remotely with a cross-functional group, contributing to powertrain, body electronics, chassis, and ADAS software development while ensuring robust testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional embedded software development experience in automotive applications.
• Expert proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS such as AUTOSAR, QNX, or FreeRTOS.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet.
• Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
• Implement and optimize software for RTOS such as AUTOSAR, QNX, or embedded Linux.
• Develop software modules for powertrain, body electronics, chassis, and ADAS.
• Integrate software with hardware for reliable operation.
• Perform unit and integration testing and debugging to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with hardware and other software teams to define requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development processes and standards.
• Document software designs and test procedures.
