Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Remote Automotive Software Engineer (Embedded) to develop real-time software for vehicle control units, infotainment, and ADAS from a home office. You will design, implement, test, and optimize embedded code in a remote-first team with strong C/C++, RTOS/Linux experience and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in embedded software with automotive focus.
• Strong C/C++ proficiency and RTOS/Linux experience.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.
• SDLC and Agile methodologies; Git and build systems proficiency.
• Excellent remote collaboration and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for automotive apps using C/C++.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for vehicle control and sensor data processing.
• Write unit tests and conduct system-level testing for reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and standards.
• Debug across multiple hardware platforms and environments.
• Document software designs, implementation details, and test results.
