Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Senior Quality Control Inspector for a fully remote role focused on electronics components and finished products. You will conduct rigorous inspections, analyses, and testing to ensure compliance with IPC and ISO standards, while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements.

You will work with on-site and remote teams, reporting quality metrics, and contributing to a culture of quality, innovation, and excellence from a home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in quality control inspection in electronics manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of electronic components, assembly processes, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with inspection equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and CMMs.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and IPC standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed inspection and testing procedures for electronic components and finished products.
• Perform comprehensive quality inspections using measurement and testing tools.
• Analyze product defects, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with IPC, ISO and internal quality specifications.
• Document inspection results, generate quality reports, and maintain quality records.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Train and mentor junior quality control personnel.
• Stay updated on latest quality control technologies and methodologies in electronics manufacturing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the quality management system.
