Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our client’s electronics production team in Centurion, Gauteng. The role blends on-site inspections with remote reporting to uphold ISO 9001 standards and ensure product conformity through raw materials to finished goods.

You will perform inspections, interpret drawings, calibrate equipment, document non-conformances, and collaborate with production and engineering to drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical qualification in Quality Assurance or related field is an advantage.
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar QA role in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with measuring/testing instruments (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Hybrid work model including on-site inspections and remote reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Utilise measuring/testing devices to ensure products meet specifications.
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs to verify compliance.
• Calibrate and maintain QC equipment for accuracy.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to address quality concerns.
