Placements24 in Sandton, Gauteng, seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Design Engineer to lead complex electrical system design, including analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and PCB layout. You will define architectures, select components, and drive verification from concept to production.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (PhD preferred) with 8+ years in design, hands-on experience with Altium/Cadence, SPICE, and MATLAB/Simulink, and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• PhD is a plus and highly regarded.
• Proven track record in leading electrical system design projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems and subsystems.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and system integration plans.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and verification to ensure design integrity.
• Select and evaluate electronic components, microcontrollers, and power management ICs.
• Develop and implement testing procedures for validation and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and system-level issues.
• Document design specifications, test results, and technical reports.
• Stay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
