Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Design & Development Engineer to drive end-to-end development of analog and digital circuits for advanced electronic products in Randburg, Gauteng. You will own schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and firmware for embedded systems.

Collaborating with mechanical and software teams, you will perform design verification, document specifications and BOMs, and ensure EMI/EMC compliance, reliability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of electronic circuit design and product development experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Eagle, OrCAD).
• Strong analog and digital circuit design knowledge; C/C++ firmware experience.
• Experience with power electronics and EMI/EMC considerations.

Responsabilités

• Design analog and digital circuits for new products.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using standard CAD tools.
• Select components based on performance and cost.
• Develop firmware for embedded systems (C/C++).
• Run simulations, analysis, and verification testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and firmware teams for integration.
• Prepare design specs, test procedures, and BOMs.
• Troubleshoot design issues during prototyping, testing, and production.
• Ensure compliance with EMC, RoHS and other standards.
