Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical power system protection engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of protective relaying principles and technologies (e.g., SEL, GE, ABB relays).
• Proficiency in protection system analysis software (ETAP, CAPE).
• Experience with testing equipment and procedures for protective relays.
• Strong understanding of utility standards and grid codes relevant to power system protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop protective relaying schemes for power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation facilities.
• Perform fault analysis, setting calculations, and coordination studies for protection relays.
• Select and specify protective relays, circuit breakers, and associated equipment.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of protection systems on-site.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for protection schemes and settings.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior protection engineers.
