The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that secure the stability of the power grid and prevent outages, with on-site responsibilities in a key Gauteng hub.

The candidate will perform load flow studies, fault analysis, and oversee grid protection equipment installation and commissioning, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems engineering with a focus on grid stability and protection.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as PSS/E and ETAP and related simulation tools.
• Knowledge of power system protection relays, switchgear, and substation equipment.
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience in a South African power utility environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to enhance grid stability and reliability.
