Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
• 8+ years in power system design, analysis, and protection.

• Familiar with South African electricity regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed power system analysis: load flow, short circuit, stability, protection coordination.
• Design and specify components for substations, lines, and networks.
• Develop protection schemes and relay settings for equipment.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new generation projects and grid connections.
• Review designs from external consultants and vendors for standards compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide expert technical support.
