Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy installations , including solar farms and wind turbine integration.
• Perform detailed electrical calculations, load analysis, and protection system design.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and South African regulations .
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects.

Requirements

• B.Eng or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant exposure to renewable energy systems (solar, wind).
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
• Strong knowledge of power systems, grid integration, and low and medium voltage equipment.
