About the Role

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Electrical Engineer with expertise in renewable energy systems to join their team in Randburg . This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of electrical infrastructure for solar, wind, and other sustainable energy projects. You will contribute to critical stages of project lifecycles, involving both on-site assessments and remote design work. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the green energy transition, contributing to sustainable solutions within the dynamic Gauteng province while benefiting from a flexible hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including PV arrays, battery storage, and grid connection points.
• Perform electrical load analysis, system sizing, and energy production estimations.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring schedules using CAD software.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders on project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and support commissioning activities for new installations.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and components to improve system performance and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on renewable energy systems .
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools relevant to solar and energy storage.
• Strong understanding of grid integration, power electronics, and energy management systems.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for renewable energy installations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid on-site and remote team structure.
