Placements24 seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Midrand to lead design and implementation of renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and storage systems. You will drive feasibility, specs, drawings and testing while managing budgets and timelines.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in electrical engineering with renewables, proficiency in ETAP/AutoCAD Electrical/PSS/E, and a Pr. Eng. consideration. Leadership and collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering with renewables.
• PR Eng. registration with ECSA is an advantage.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, and PSS/E.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and due diligence for new energy projects.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and schematics.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing with safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot issues during execution and operation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on standards and regulatory changes; contribute to proposals.
