The role requires a Bachelors or Masters in engineering, 7+ years of renewable energy experience, and proficiency with PVSyst, HOMER, AutoCAD, ETAP. Pr Eng is advantageous; SA grid codes knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in design and engineering of renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency with solar PV, wind, and energy storage technologies; knowledge of grid codes is a plus.
• Experience with simulation and design software (PVSyst, HOMER, AutoCAD, ETAP).
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and engineering of renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind turbines, battery storage).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy yield analyses.
• Develop detailed engineering specifications, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Perform system simulations and performance modeling using industry-standard software.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of renewable energy equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
