• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA.
• 8+ years in electrical engineering design and project management.
• Experience leading electrical design for complex projects (commercial, hospital, industrial).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, DIALux.
• Strong power systems, distribution, protection, lighting, and building automation knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, PM, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to perform site visits.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, specification, and project management of electrical systems across projects (power distribution, lighting, standby power, LV).
• Ensure designs meet national/international standards (SANS) and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, specification, and project management of electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including power distribution, lighting, standby power, and low-voltage systems.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant national and international standards, codes (e.g., SANS), and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including structural, mechanical, and civil engineers, as well as architects and clients.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical reports.
• Conduct site investigations, inspections, and commissioning of electrical installations.
• Manage electrical project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and designers, fostering their professional development.
• Review and approve design documents, shop drawings, and submittals from contractors.
• Stay updated on the latest electrical engineering technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Provide expert technical consultation and support to clients and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design and project management, preferably within the building services or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience leading electrical design for complex projects such as commercial buildings, hospitals, or industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, DIALux) and power system analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of power systems, distribution, protection, lighting design, and building automation systems.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage client relationships.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to undertake site visits in the Sandton area and beyond.
