Job summary

AECOM SA in Durban is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex LV/MV electrical design across projects up to 132kV. You will mentor engineers, manage schedules and prepare cost estimates, with a focus on data centre environments.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, client liaison, and delivering high-quality design packages while ensuring compliance with local and international standards. The role requires 12+ years in electrical project engineering and ECSA registration.

Qualifications

BSc Electrical Engineering Degree.
More than 12 years electrical project engineering experience.
Data Centre Experience will be beneficial.
Registered as a Full Professional with ECSA.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and review of complex electrical designs and engineering solutions.
Preparation and management of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement etc.
Electrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national and international standards.
Assessing Client / Project Electrical Engineering Requirements.
Lead a project team of senior engineers, engineers and BIM modellers to achieve a quality design to deadlines.
Provide field engineering support to construction and commissioning teams.
