Job summary

Shift Pursuit in Cape Town seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer/Technologist to lead design and delivery of high‑reliability electrical systems for large-scale commercial, industrial and data centre projects. You will provide technical leadership, oversee complex designs, mentor teams and build strong client relationships while ensuring project quality.

The role requires a BSc Eng or BTech in Electrical Engineering, ECSA Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration, 10+ years of consulting

Qualifications

BSc Eng or BTech in Electrical Engineering and professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng).
Minimum 10 years of consulting engineering experience in building services and industrial sectors.
Experience designing MV/LV power systems and leading multidisciplinary projects.
Data centre experience and familiarity with JBCC, FIDIC and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of HV/MV and LV electrical systems for commercial, industrial and data centre projects.
Prepare electrical designs, calculations, specifications, reports and tender documentation.
Provide technical leadership and quality assurance through reviews and project oversight.
Manage project delivery from concept through construction and close-out.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships.
