Job summary

AECOM SA in Gauteng seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across all project phases, including LV/MV up to 132kV, and interfaces with PLC/DCS and BMS.

You will prepare concept designs, develop scopes of work, tender documents, perform system studies, load flow, protection coordination, and provide field support during construction while mentoring junior engineers. A strong background in energy, buildings and infrastructure projects is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience within the built environment
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University
• Master of Science or Engineering preferred
• Professional registration as an Engineer with ECSA

Responsibilities

• Preparation and management of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings and procurement.
• Electrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client/national/international standards.
• Assessing client/project electrical engineering requirements and prepare concept design.
• Cost estimation of electrical engineering scope, including equipment and construction costs.
• Detailed electrical engineering of LV and MV up to 132kV including load lists, single line diagrams, network diagrams, and protection schemes.
• Develop tender documentation, adjudicate tenders, and manage contract claims.
• Provide field engineering support to construction and commissioning teams.
