Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role in Gauteng/Centurion. You will lead electrical design across project stages, prepare concept designs, and assess options to meet objectives and requirements.

Requirements include 8+ years in the built environment, a BSc/BE, MSc preferred, and professional registration with ECSA. You will mentor juniors and coordinate with energy, PLC/DCS, and building management systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience within the built environment after obtainment of qualification.
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University; master's preferred.
• Professional registration with ECSA is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept design and evaluate options based on project objectives and requirements.
• Cost estimation of electrical scope including equipment and construction costs.
• Develop tender documentation, bills of quantities and contract claims.
• Designer interface with PLC/DCS, energy management, and building systems.
• Provide field support, troubleshooting, and mentoring to junior engineers.
