Job summary

P&G in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Sales Manager for E-com Activation & Category Strategy to drive online growth across marketplaces and retailer sites. You will translate brand and category strategy into a strong digital shelf, high-return retailer media, and channel-specific plans.

You will collaborate with KAM, Brand Marketing, A&I, Finance and Product Supply to ensure alignment, forecasting and execution, building repeatable capabilities for profitable e-com growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Science, Marketing, Digital Commerce or related field.
• 7-10 years' progressive e-com/digital commerce experience in FMCG or retail.
• Demonstrated ownership of digital shelf, retailer media and online activation across multiple brands.
• Translate shopper data into clear commercial actions and ROI.
• Experience managing agencies, media partners, and digital-shelf platforms.
• Knowledge of e-com KPIs: traffic, conversion, content compliance, ROAS.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead e-com activation and category strategy across pure-play and retailer online platforms.
• Own digital shelf excellence: product titles, taxonomy, keywords, images, content.
• Improve visibility and conversion via retailer search optimization.
• Ensure accurate, compliant content across platforms and launches.
• Build retailer media strategy and annual investment plan.
• Lead sponsored search, display campaigns with partners and teams.
• Manage briefs, budgets, execution, optimization, and learnings for ROAS and growth.
• Develop category growth strategies for assortment, pricing, promotions.
• Translate data into category stories for retailers.
• Lead activation for launches with content readiness and visibility.
• Collaborate with KAM, Brand Marketing, A&I, Finance, and Product Supply.
• Define and report scorecards on content, availability, traffic, and sales.
• Manage agencies and retailer media networks with clear standards.
• Build org capability via playbooks, training and best-practice sharing.
