Placements24 seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a financial technology firm in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on streamlining the software lifecycle, deploying scalable cloud infrastructure, and ensuring reliability through advanced automation.

You will lead CI/CD practices, manage IaC, and collaborate with development teams to optimize deployments while advancing monitoring, security, and incident response capabilities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in a DevOps or Systems Engineering role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes orchestration for deployments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
