Job summary

Placements24 in Kimberley, Northern Cape, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security across platforms.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployment, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and manage Docker/Kubernetes on AWS/Azure/GCP, with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps or Systems Engineering role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform or Ansible.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure cloud security and compliance across environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and runbooks.
• Stay updated with DevOps best practices and emerging technologies.
