Qualifications

• Valid Code 10 or PDP required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional driver with delivery/logistics focus.
• Clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Ability to navigate routes within Midrand, Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Experience with handheld delivery devices is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move goods as required.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) or light commercial vehicle (LCV) safely and efficiently in accordance with traffic laws and company regulations. Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure punctuality and optimal fuel consumption within the Midrand, Gauteng region. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly. Load and unload goods accurately, ensuring they are secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery signatures and any discrepancies noted. Provide excellent customer service to clients upon delivery, acting as a professional representative of our client. Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding any delays, route changes, or delivery issues. Uphold the company's reputation for reliability and professionalism at all times.

Requirements
