Express Employment Professionals Midrand is seeking a passionate Debtors Clerk to join the finance team in Midrand. The role focuses on timely collection, accuracy, and process discipline within the debtors function.

The ideal candidate must have 10–15 years’ experience in debtors collection, strong analytical and numerical skills, and proficiency in Kerridge (K8) software, Excel and Word. Own transport and willingness to work extended hours are preferred.

Formación

• Matric certificate (Grade 12).
• 10–15 years’ experience in a debtors’ collection office.
• Bookkeeping/financial tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Knowledge of Kerridge (K8) software preferable.
• Advanced MS Excel & MS Word knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Liaise with customers regarding outstanding payments and arrange payment terms.
• Follow up and resolve debtors’ queries promptly.
• Prepare monthly aged analysis and liaise with Financial Director.
• Perform debtor reconciliations and monitor payment schedules.
• Capture and allocate payments accurately.
• Request remittance advice and ensure correct allocation.
• Process discounts, rebates and advertising on accounts.
• Place accounts on credit stop if not paid by the 7th of each month and notify Sales Representative.
• Prepare Final Letter of Demand within 5 days of grace period if unpaid.
• Remove credit stop after payment is received.
• Email or fax full general ledger if discrepancies arise on a customer account.
• Request copies of claim forms from customers and route to Sales Representative.
• Ensure credit notes are processed and allocated.
• Drapers/trace trade references as required.
• Scan credit applications and update customer details.
• Fax or email invoices, PODs, credit notes or statements on request.
• Maintain filing and administration up to date.
