Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions to protect digital assets and resilience against threats.

You will lead security tech deployments, conduct assessments and pentests, and automate processes while mentoring junior engineers in a remote-first culture. This is a high-impact, globally oriented role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related technical security role.
• Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and system hardening.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced security systems and infrastructure.
• Lead the implementation and management of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection.
• Conduct in-depth security analysis, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Develop and automate security processes and workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Respond to and manage complex security incidents, providing detailed analysis and resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical expertise.
