Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join the security operations team. You will protect assets from cyber threats, respond to incidents, and perform vulnerability management in a fully remote setting.

You will work with distributed teams to enhance security posture, implement incident response plans, and stay ahead of threats while supporting the organization’s security strategy from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and EDR tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and attack vectors.
• Certs like CISSP, Security+, or CEH valued.
• Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and communication, adaptable to remote work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and investigate potential security incidents.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in the network and applications.
• Develop and implement security incident response plans, and lead the response to security breaches.
• Analyze threat intelligence and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Recommend and implement security enhancements, controls, and best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into system design and implementation.
