Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cyber Security Engineer to join our expanding team. This fully remote role lets you contribute to safeguarding the organization’s IT infrastructure from your home office.

You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions, collaborate with IT operations and development peers, and help embed security across systems and applications to mitigate cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in security engineering, hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of hands-on cyber security engineering experience.
• Proficiency with security protocols, encryption standards, and authentication methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
• Develop and maintain security documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor network and system logs for security breaches and respond to incidents.
• Conduct security assessments of new systems and applications prior to deployment.
• Automate security tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams on security best practices.
