Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join its fully remote Information Security team. The role focuses on threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures within a distributed setup.

You will shape and execute security strategy, mentor analysts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen defenses and protect digital assets in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity analysis and incident response.
• Advanced proficiency with SIEM/EDR and other monitoring tools.
• Deep understanding of networks, operating systems, and attack methods.
• Automation scripting using Python or PowerShell.
• Certifications such as CISSP/GCIA/GCIH are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat hunting initiatives and identify security vulnerabilities.
• Tune and manage SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and related tools.
• Analyze incidents, perform forensic investigations, and coordinate responses.
• Develop and refine incident response playbooks.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance security posture.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote security awareness.
