Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for a remote-first security operations team. You will defend the organization against cyber threats, using advanced security tools to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents.

This role offers autonomous work, collaboration with a dispersed but highly effective team, and opportunities to contribute to strategic security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 6 years of cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or threat intelligence.
• Proficient with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and attack vectors.
• Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or SANS are valued.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and networks for threats using SIEM and tools.
• Analyze alerts, investigate incidents, and perform forensic analysis to determine root causes.
• Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.
• Conduct threat hunting to identify and neutralize emerging threats.
• Provide recommendations for security improvements and implement controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to share threat intelligence and best practices.
