Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join a globally distributed security team. This role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats across the organization’s digital infrastructure from a fully remote setup.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong SIEM skills, and solid networking knowledge. You will contribute to incident response, vulnerability management, and security policy improvements while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack, LogRhythm) and security monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network and system logs for security threats using SIEM.
• Analyze security alerts and incidents to determine scope and nature.
• Develop and execute incident response procedures to contain and recover from breaches.
• Perform regular vulnerability scanning and remediation prioritization.
• Contribute to security policies and best practices.
• Stay informed about threats and technologies to enhance defenses.
