Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Network Security in Sandton. You will protect the organization’s network infrastructure and sensitive data, monitor security systems, investigate incidents, and contribute to the overall security strategy.

The role requires 6+ years in cybersecurity with emphasis on network security, strong skills with firewalls, IDPS, SIEM, NAC, and experience in incident response and forensics. Hybrid work and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of cybersecurity experience with emphasis on network security.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and breaches.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, perform forensic analysis and recommend remediation.
• Implement and manage security technologies (firewalls, IDPS, VPNs).
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and pentesting to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and docs.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
