Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Strong network, endpoint, and cloud security expertise.
• Automation scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell).
• Hands-on with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, threat intel.
• Incident response and digital forensics experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC desirable.
• Experience in agriculture tech sector in KwaZulu-Natal advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security).
• Develop and automate security controls across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability management.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, perform forensics, implement remediation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures.
• Collaborate with development and operations to embed security in SDLC.
• Monitor security alerts and logs; develop proactive threat intelligence.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
