Job summary

Elchemie in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Control Room Manager to lead daily operations of the site’s control room and ensure continuous security monitoring.

You will supervise operators, enforce protocols, optimize surveillance systems (HikCentral, Cathexis), and coordinate with Mine Management and stakeholders. A senior role requiring PSIRA Grade A, 10+ years in CCTV/control room security, and a valid SA driver’s license and own vehicle.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade A registration is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years’ CCTV/control room security experience.
• Proven control room security management experience.
• Valid SA driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Must reside in the West Rand area or relocate at own cost.
• South African citizenship and clear criminal record.
• Experience in mining or high-risk security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily control room operations for optimal performance and security monitoring.
• Supervise operators to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Monitor and optimize surveillance systems (HikCentral, Cathexis).
• Analyze threats, alarms, and incidents with site security teams.
• Represent the company in SRM reviews with Mine Management.
• Develop and implement control room policies and reporting structures.
• Conduct training for control room staff on system operations and emergency response.
• Maintain records and produce high-level incident and system reports.
• Ensure security equipment is operational and tested regularly.
• Provide strong operational leadership and maintain a professional, compliant environment.
