Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead major construction projects in Mahikeng, North West. You will be responsible for planning, resource management, team leadership, and stakeholder liaison to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

You will drive on-site safety, quality controls, and procurement while coordinating with clients and regulators. A proven track record in large-scale projects and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years progressive experience in construction management, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects end-to-end.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Mahikeng/North West province.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion, aligning with goals and client requirements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Lead, motivate, and manage site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all sites.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and relevant building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in contract management.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage complex challenges.
• Experience working within the Mahikeng, North West region is a significant asset.
