Placements24 seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major infrastructure projects in the Midrand, Gauteng region. The role requires leadership, planning, and execution excellence to deliver on time, on budget, and to safety and quality standards.

The candidate will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across diverse projects in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) or SACPCMP preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction management experience on large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 or MS Project and construction administration principles.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction operations on major infrastructure projects, including site management, resource allocation, and scheduling.
• Develop and implement comprehensive construction plans, methodologies, and safety protocols.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure profitable project execution.
• Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to meet project objectives.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with design specifications.
• Manage contractual obligations and resolve disputes.

• Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Gauteng region, particularly around Midrand , is a significant advantage.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in various project locations.
