Placements24 seeks a meticulous Compliance Officer to join its Durban-based legal and compliance team. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to FAIS, FICA, and POPIA, monitoring regulatory changes, and driving effective compliance programs and internal audits.

A proactive approach to regulatory integrity is essential in a dynamic market. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Law/Finance/Business Admin and have 4–6 years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and reporting

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
4–6 years of compliance/regulatory or risk management experience in banking/financial services.
Thorough knowledge of FAIS Act, FICA, POPIA.
Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and risk assessments.

Mansioni

Monitor and interpret evolving financial regulations and legislation impacting the company's operations.
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Conduct regular compliance reviews and internal audits to assess adherence to policies and regulations.
Investigate potential compliance breaches, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Provide compliance training and guidance to employees across departments.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during examinations and inquiries.
