Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Legal Advisor specializing in Compliance to lead our regulatory program in Port Elizabeth. You will develop, implement and monitor compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to all pertinent laws and internal policies.

Reporting to senior management, you will conduct risk assessments, investigate breaches, train staff, and liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors. The ideal candidate is an Admitted Attorney with at least four years in regulatory compliance and

Qualifications

Admitted Attorney with at least 4 years of regulatory compliance experience.
In-depth knowledge of South African laws and regulations relevant to the industry.
Experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High integrity and professional ethics.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and policies.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and advise on adjustments.
Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying non-compliance risks.
Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance issues.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
