Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Compliance Officer in Centurion with a strong legal background to oversee regulatory adherence across the organization. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and advising management on risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB or equivalent, with at least 4 years in compliance or regulatory roles, and a deep understanding of SA corporate and data protection laws.

Qualifications

• Requires a Law degree (LLB) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years in compliance, legal, or regulatory role.
• Strong knowledge of SA corporate law, financial regulations, and data protection.
• Ability to translate complex legal texts into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a company-wide compliance program.
• Monitor adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate breaches, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise management on regulatory changes impacting the business.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries.
