Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role blends designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate staff in a hybrid setup.

The successful candidate will lead market research, job grading, and salary structures while ensuring SA labor law compliance and alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and incentive plan design.
• Expertise in employee benefits administration and compliance.
• In-depth understanding of South African labor laws and regulations pertaining to C&B.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a Hybrid environment and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and administer compensation programs, including base salary, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
• Manage and evaluate employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits are competitive and meet legal requirements.
• Develop and maintain job grading and salary structures.
• Analyze compensation and benefits data, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
• Develop clear and concise communication materials for employees regarding compensation and benefits programs.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide expert advice on C&B matters.
• Oversee the administration of payroll deductions and benefits enrollment processes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies related to compensation and benefits.
