Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Community Engagement Manager to lead stakeholder relations for mining projects in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on building positive community relations, governance with government bodies, and stakeholder engagement strategy across multiple sites.

You will oversee social impact assessments, mitigation planning, and reporting to senior management, while mentoring junior officers and ensuring alignment with CSR objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in community engagement or social performance, preferably in mining.
• Strong knowledge of social impact assessments and community development.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement plans aligned with project objectives and CSR goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Lead community consultations, meetings, and forums to address concerns and gather feedback.
