Qualifications

• Qualified attorney admitted to the High Court of SA with 7+ years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to lead complex disputes through arbitration and court proceedings.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of high-profile commercial litigation matters from assessment to resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies and advise management on outcomes and risk.
• Mentor junior lawyers and support staff involved in litigation.
• Engage in settlements and ADR when appropriate while safeguarding client interests.
• Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, and professional ethics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather evidence and prepare pleadings.
• Represent clients in the High Court, Magistrates' Courts and ADR forums.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting commercial law and risk management.
