Placements24 seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney for their Centurion office. The role focuses on managing complex civil and commercial litigation from inception to resolution.

You will lead case strategy, conduct thorough research, draft pleadings, and represent clients in court, mediations, and arbitrations. The ideal candidate has at least eight years’ experience, outstanding advocacy, strong drafting and analytical skills, and a track record mentoring junior staff.

Formación

• LLB degree or equivalent.
• Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 8 years of substantial experience in civil and commercial litigation.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex litigation matters.
• Exceptional courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and mediation skills.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to mentor junior legal professionals.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a diverse caseload of complex litigation matters across civil and commercial areas.
• Conduct extensive legal research, develop case strategies, and draft compelling legal arguments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, applications, and other court documents with precision.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlements.
• Take and defend depositions, examine and cross-examine witnesses.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff.
• Manage litigation budgets and ensure cost-effective case management.
