Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting cloud-native applications in Mahikeng, North West. You will automate build, test, and deployment pipelines to ensure high availability and scalable performance.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, and IaC tools, with strong scripting and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong networking, security, and OS knowledge (Linux/Windows).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Use IaC tools to automate provisioning (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with dev and QA teams to optimize the SDLC.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Manage logging and alerting systems; participate in on-call rotation.
