Placements24 invites a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a rapidly growing SaaS provider in Durban. You will design and automate cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and reliability improvements across AWS/Azure/GCP, applying IaC and automation to scale deployments.

The role offers a hybrid Durban-based work arrangement, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to implement security practices, monitoring, and scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Proven cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
• Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Networking and security best practices.
• Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Durban-based hybrid work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform/Ansible/CFN.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Enforce security best practices across infra and workflows.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize for scalability.
• Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Contribute to architectural decisions.
