Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will drive planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder liaison to deliver on time and to high standards.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience in civil project management, a proven track record on roads or water projects, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering project management experience.
• Pr Eng or Pr CM registration desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil engineering projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate work of engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage client relationships and provide regular updates.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Oversee project finances including budget tracking and cost control.
• Lead procurement processes including tendering and contract negotiation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and design adherence.
