Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee major civil engineering projects in the Upington region. You will guide projects from planning through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are met while coordinating large teams and diverse stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of project management experience in civil engineering, holds a Bachelor’s degree, and is ECSA-registered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in project management with civil engineering focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• ECSA registration required.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure on time and within budget.
• Extensive experience with MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work on-site in Upington and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects.
• Develop, manage, and monitor schedules, budgets and resources.
• Lead and mentor project teams.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to standards, codes, safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and forecasts.
• Manage contracts with vendors and contractors.
